SK-AM68: How to modify /sbin/init to start weston early

Hi,

I'm following app note sprad09a.pdf (How to Linux Fast Boot on DRA821U) and SRV-Optimizations-SDK-8.2_2 pdf.

One of the items listed is creating a symlink for /sbin/init.

I'd like to start weston early prior to systemd starting, and I've tried to start it manually by using the shell before systemd starts, but haven't been successful.

What items need to be loaded prior to systemd for the HDMI output to work on the am68 and for weston to start?

Hello Evan,

We have not tested initializing weston this early in the boot process. Weston is currently configured to run through systemd initialization. The only dependencies are the display driver and the graphics driver. If you can ensure that those are running, you should be able to launch weston. Please provide a log if you do not see weston initializing with these dependencies met.
