But we wanted to boot our AM625 SOM completely from eMMC means we want to completely remove the dependancy on SD Card. For example:- When new board comes it should directly boot through eMMC .

In documents it mentioned that These steps assume that Linux has already booted properly from another memory device such as SD Card or any supported interface.

As i am using sdk version 09.02.01.09 so do i need to add the path in order to fix usb-dfu boot ? 

How to add these path file or where to add ?

also for slow eMMC speed where to add these patch file

The DFU flashing FAQ was written for PSDK v8.6 so it is prettly much old now. I would recommend to only refer the FAQ for the procedure and not follow it as it is.

The patches mentioned in the FAQ are not needed for the latest SDK.

The images required for flashing U-Boot and Linux into eMMC are:

1) USB DFU U-Boot images (tiboot3.bin, tispl.bin, u-boot.img)

• The R5 SPL (tiboot3.bin) must be built with the USB DFU defconfig (am62x_evm_r5_usbdfu_defconfig).
• Once generated, save these images somewhere so you can use them for flashing again whenever needed.
• These images are purely used for booting to U-Boot via DFU and are not flashed anywhere.

2) Regular U-Boot images (tiboot3.bin, tispl.bin, u-boot.img)

• The R5 SPL (tiboot3.bin) is built with the default defconfig (am62x_evm_r5_defconfig)
• These set of images are flashed to eMMC Boot0 partition.

3) Linux Rootfs EXT4 filesystem

• The filesystem is flashed to one of the GPT/MBR partition in eMMC UDA.

from above i understood that there is no need to add patch file for fixing usb-dfu boot and for slowing the speed of eMMC using USB-DFU ?

Hi,

No, it's not required. The link is only meant to be used to refer Build U-Boot instructions and not follow the whole page.

Also, you should refer to the Build Instructions according to the SDK you are using. Since you are using the latest one, you can find the U-Boot build instructions using the Top Level Makefile here

here we are able boot the AM625 SOM but for there is need of SD Card here 

It looks like you flashed the images using USB DFU successfully.

I could not see where SD card would be needed here. After you have flashed images into eMMC, you should power off the board and change the bootmodes to eMMC. The board should completely boot from eMMC.

I need to ask is, Is it possible to boot linux from eMMC of Custom AM625 SOM directly i.e. when our board comes from production, I need to flash android in to eMMC then create partitions of eMMC by booring from SD card, then flash the Linux OS into the eMMC of AM625 SOM.

Now, what I need is, boot linux from eMMC directly. Without flashing Android OS into eMMC then creating partitions of eMMC by using SD card booting.
