dear engineer! I am currently having trouble rebuilding IBL. I follow the steps（[FAQ] PROCESSOR-SDK-C665X: IBL Build Steps on Linux (Ubuntu) (Processor family: C665x /C667x) - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums），and then build the ibl。I downlod the SDK（PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-C667x 06_03_00_106）,ti-cgt-c6000_8.3.12，modify the setupenvLnx.sh , run "source setupenvLnx.sh", and then run "make clean;make evm_c6678_i2c ENDIAN=little I2C_BUS_ADDR=0x51"。But there is an error,"cannot find file "/opt/ti-cgt-c6000_8.3.12/lib/rts64plus.lib", so I cannot build the ibl successfully! Some pictures are given follow.

the ibl build error!

I find the rts64plus_elf.lib in " ti-cgt_6000-8.3.12/lib/"directory,but file rts64plus.lib is not exist. then I change the file makedefs.mk, use rts64plus_elf.lib replace the rts64plus.lib，but the ibl building is also failed! I can not find the rts64plus.lib on the Enternet.

Wei wan,

Kindly follow the instructions carefully.

Required toolset: C6000 code generation tools – compiler (TI CGT), version: 7.4.X, can be downloaded from following link: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/C6000-CGT-7-4

Your setupenvLnx.sh shows you are using the CGT version ---> 8.3.12.

But you need 7.4.24.

Hi, Shankari, thank you for you reply! My Linux OS is CentOS 64bit, not 32bit OS. The cgt-tool_6000_7.4.24 not support it. I have download it(ti_cgt_c6000_7.4.24_linux_installer_x86.bin) and try to install on my CentOS system, but it failed. Should I change my linux OS from 64bit to 32bit?

Alternately, would you make me understand how do you conclude that the cgt-tool_6000_7.4.24 doesnot suppport 32 bit Linux?

Hi，Shankari G. Thanks. In my replay I means the cgt-tool_6000_7.4.24 doesnot support 64 bit Linux,which is elf 32-bit version and it cannot installed on my CentOS 64bit Linux OS.

And I have installed cgt-tool_6000_7.4.24 on 32 bit Linux. Then I install the SDK，but I failed. Because the SDK is ELF 64-BIT, it cannot installed on my 32 bit Linux OS. I wish to download the SDK ,which can installed on 32 bit Linux OS，on ti's web(https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/C667x/latest/index_FDS.html), but I can not find it. So I am puzzled about the Linux version.

I am surprised.

Because, I have a 64 bit Linux machine. I installed the CGT version 7.4.24.

Perhaps, Rajarajan who created this FAQ also used the 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04 LTS machine

Additional Info:-

You need to enable the 32 bit support in 64 bit machines by installing the necessary compatible libraries.

For example:- Try something like this..... ( These stuffs , I just did a google for CENTOS system.... as I used Ubuntu, I did not face any such problem)

sudo yum install epel-release

sudo you install glibc.i686 libgcc.i686

sudo yum install <dependency>.i686

PS: - please note, I will be out of office till 9th of August - IST

I have try to install the ti_cgt_c6000_7.4.24_linux_installer_x86.bin on Ubuntu 14.04 OS, but I also failed. I don't kown why it happens.

Hello Wei,

This is basic Ubuntu fundamentals. Not sure why you need to use sudo command to install the compiler toolchain. Can you just do. below:

chmod +x ti_cgt_c6000_7.4.24_linux_installer_x86.bin
./ti_cgt_c6000_7.4.24_linux_installer_x86.bin

Hi,Praveen Rao,thanks. I have done as your suggestion,but it do not work. I am confused why you can install the cgt_tool_7.4.24 on 64bit Linux(Ubuntu 14.04). The cgt_tool_7.4.24 is elf 32-bit format file, not 64-bit file. There are some difference about our Linux OS ?

I try to build ibl in Windows environment, an error happens as the fllowing picture.

The error is "echo:Command not found".

Hi Wei,

We are unsure why you cannot install the toolchain binary on Ubuntu. One suggestion is to follow this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/code-composer-studio-group/ccs/f/code-composer-studio-forum/295544/how-to-install-the-c6000-code-generation-tools

Regarding the error you reported on the Windows environment, the header file "string.h" needs to be included for the strcpy function. Suggest giving it a try.

Hi, Praveen Rao,

I have installed the toolchain binary on my Ubuntu system successfully, after I install some 32bit library. And I try to build the IBL，but I get an error in the pciture. I have search the problem on ti's E2E design support, there is no siutbale sulotion.

Regarding the error I reported on the Windows environment, the error is "echo: command not find". I add the header file "string.h" to the strcpy function, and I build the IBL，the error is same.

My setupenvLnx.sh file is in the fllowing picture.

Hi Wei,

For the build issue reported on Ubuntu, it looks like you are missing the "bison" package. You can try installing it using below and try building again.

sudo apt-get install bison

And how to fill the cmd parameters when I use cmd "make evm_c667x_spi xxx" to build the IBL?

We suggest typing "make --help" to get a list of available cmd parameters.
