Hi，

We are currently designing our own hardware and do not plan to use an SD card. We want to write Linux to an eMMC device through the serial port and then boot from the eMMC device. If it is a blank board with no programs in it, what should we do?

Hello,

Flashing Linux to eMMC through the serial port is not at all feasible. You should have a provision of high speed transmission interface on your board like USB DFU, Ethernet.
