TDA4VP-Q1: CAN firmware running on MCU1_0 in the safety domain stops sending messages when HLOS boots.

I am running a CAN firmware on the MCU1_0  in the ASIL D domain which sends CAN messages. I have connected a Peak PCAN device to the CAN0 and can see the messages. But the moment QNX boots up CAN messages stop coming on the peak PCAN's GUI. If i stop the booting of QNX by interrupting uboot then the messages keep coming.  Another point is that the MCU domain CAN channel o and Channel 2 are only accessible through MCU domain MCU1_0 and hence QNX could not have  taken over the control of these interfaces.  I am not sure how can i debug this issue. I would appreciate any pointers.
