AM69A: SGMII Test Enable Pattern meaning?

Part Number: AM69A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM69

Tool/software:

According to the J784S4 register definitions, there are register's named "cpsw_9xuss_j7am_CPSGMII_CONTROL_REG_j". Bit 6 is defined as test pattern enabled (TEST_PATTERN_EN). Can we get a description of the test pattern? We are trying to test the signal integrity of the SGMII lines on our AM69 board and might need a test pattern enabled to check if the lines are within spec.

  • Test Pattern Enable – force the output of K28.5 on TX_ENC for test purposes.
