Part Number: AM6421

Tool/software:

Hi ,

We are using industrial Communication SDK 9.2 and Ethernet/IP Adapter Discrete I/O Profile.

We would like to know the procedure for below

1)How to have three numbers of class3 type connections for using in explicit messages.

2)How to have two numbers of class1 type connections for using in cyclic I/O.

Plese provide the documentation / steps to implement the above two.

Thankyou

  • Hi all,

we are waiting for the response.

    would appreciate quick response.

    Thanks & regards,

    Sonu

  • Hi Sonu Kumar,

as can be seen under the documentation for Ethernet/IP (<Your SDK Installation Folder>/docs/am64x/ethernetip_adapter/eip_datasheet.html) there is nothing you should do, there are enough number of Class1 and Class3 connection supported for your use case.

    Best regards
    Pourya

  • Hi Pourya,

Is the class1 and class 3 multiple connections are handled internally in ethernet/IP adapter stack because when we request explicit message I/O connection fails and implicit message gets affected. If not how to open multiple class1 and class3 connection for our application.

    Thanks & regards,

    Sonu

  • Hi Sonu Kumar,

Please provide more info about your test case.
Along with detailed explanation of your use case, please provide the following:
    1)Wireshark Capture of failed Scenario
    2)UART Logs

    Best regards
