SK-AM62P-LP: Analog Input Microphone connected to 3.5mm jack not working

Hi,

As i read on you second e2e(https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1410877/sk-am62p-lp-enable-usb-audio-mic-in-android) you are able to have jack microphone working, please confirm

if yes we do a commit to fix it

We were not able to fix the analog microphone issue. All we could achieve was to record through USB mic by specifying card and device as I mentioned in the first comment:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1410877/sk-am62p-lp-enable-usb-audio-mic-in-android.

And still USB microphone is not the default input audio source and recording applications don't consume input from usb mic.

i just find a fix mostly based on your changes , it's under review internaly , but you can check commit details here :

With this commit i'm able to play audio on jack and capture too. Same with a jabra headset on USB.

to validate jack mic and ouput and USB headset capture and play too i use Easy voice recorder apps.
you can find it if you search ' apk easy voice recoder" on google.

Hi Guillaume, thank you for your support.

We tried your changes and USB microphone is now working! But the audio captured through the analog microphone is distorted and unusable. The output is different while capturing via tinycap and through the android app (easy voice recorder). Distortion is more heard when recorded using app than through tinycap. I tried with different microphones but results are the same.

I'm attaching the audio samples for both.

yes do test with board i have on desk and it's a AM62X sorry about that, i have same on AM62P but i find a fix for that.
you can apply this patch on device/ti/am62x:

But when tried with easy voice recorder app, the audio seems to be dropping or its incomplete. Here is the sample:

Thanks Guillaume La Roque, missing capture issue is also resolved. But as I mentioned in another e2e ticket, we are now facing audio routing issue when analog mic and a speaker is connected through audio splitter. Created a ticket for the same:
