Help me understand where the PMIC_32K is coming from.

Refer 7.10.4.1.4 WKUP_LFOSC0 LVCMOS Digital Clock Source for connecting X0 when external clock input is used 

The minimum load cap recommended is 12 pF 

Refer Table 7-24. WKUP_LFOSC0 Crystal Electrical Characteristics section of data sheet 

Load cap = 2 x crystal load 

Xi has limited use case. Provision to ground Xi when not used

7.10.4.1.5 WKUP_LFOSC0 Not Used

The series resistor is used only for initial protype

Refer 7.10.4.1.3 WKUP_LFOSC0 Internal Oscillator Clock Source of the data sheet
