Thankyou for your response.

Attached ticket have eMMC UDA boot using Raw mode. Could you please confirm whether we can boot up to u-Boot only using eMMC UDA raw mode. If not could you pls let me know the steps to load Linux Image.

Also Could you pls provide the steps to validate eMMC UDA using FS mode.

After successfully following all the steps and cross-verifying that the images were flashed correctly (as shown in the attached screenshots), the board still fails to boot. I have attached screenshots of the process followed for your reference.

Could you please advise if there are any additional steps or checks that need to be performed to resolve this issue?

The bootmode is correct. Have you made sure the tiboot3.bin is of the right type according to the device type you are using?

yes we are using hsfs image.

Do we need to set any ROM permissions for UDA FS mode, similar to how we set mmc partconf 0 1 7 1 for RAW mode?

dfu-util -a bootloader -D tiboot3.bin

No we are using dfu-util -a tiboot3.bin -D tiboot3.bin

is the above command correct?

Those steps are for flashing the images.

This is for booting the tiboot3.bin over DFU. If you change the bootmode to DFU, the ROM receives the tiboot3.bin over DFU & boots the same. In this case, the image is sent with the command previously shared.

This is only for verification to see if the image is booting at all.

Yes, the same tiboot3.bin is booting in DFU boot mode, but since it's an eMMC image, the expected result is a prompt to "please reset the board."

It looks like some issue with the filesystem itself rather than the images.

Can you once use Linux Kernel to delete the existing U-Boot images & then copy the images using the `cp` commands.

Hi, I see you did not run any sync command after the copy operation. If this is not run, there is a chance the data is not written to the actual memory but just the buffer.

Please run the `sync` command at the end & see if it resolves the issue.

 not booting  with "sync" command also.

1.Since boot images are already present in /dev/mmcblk0boot0, do we need to delete these images to ensure proper booting from /dev/mmcblk0p1?

2.To boot from the UDA partition, do we need to execute the following commands?: mmc partconf 0 1 7 1,mmc bootbus 0 2 0 0.

Hi,

1. Not really. If the bootmode is set to eMMC UDA FS then the ROM will try to boot `tiboot3.bin` from the bootable FAT partition.

2. They are required for RAW mode only.

Can you share the binary dump of the FAT partition like so

root@am62xx-evm:~# umount /run/media/mmcblk0p1/
root@am62xx-evm:~# dd if=/dev/mmcblk0p1 of=part1.bin
262144+0 records in
262144+0 records out
root@am62xx-evm:~# sync


## Share the `part1.bin` binary (preferably compressed).

Can you once flash the uncompressed SD card WIC image to the eMMC UDA as raw at 0x0 offset & try booting from the eMMC UDA FS bootmode?
