AM625: how to use general otp

Hi ,

1.if i want to  uptate two mac address  to the  otp  .How do I do it.   

2 .How to use OTP keywriter to write otp? Is there any specific operation method

3.How to use SYSFW (System Firmware) to write otp? Is there any specific operation method

The MCU+ SDK has the following example that demonstrates R/W the Extended OTP using the TISCI APIs.

I use C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am62x_09_00_00_19\examples\otp\ext_otp\am62x-sk\r5fss0-0_nortos\ti-arm-clang   tiboot3.bin  do a test,

There are two things that can happen：

1.use tf card  boot mode, tiboot3.bin can  R/W Extended OTp, but after this testing,  linux sdk  tiboot3.bin can not start from  tf card mode on the am6254.

2.use tf card  boot mode, tiboot3.bin can not start to  R/W extended otp on other am6254.

The MCU+ SDK 's  demonstrates R/W the Extended OTP has any bugs?

       I use the optee  in sdk10.0.0.2 to test the ext otp ,there is no  log on the uart console. is the optee  support console?

What do you mean by tf here? Do you also have the example's boot logs to share?

TF means SD card, this is SD card boot way. Let me narrow down the questions here:

1) 

Using Linux SDK OPTEE configuration way, there is no log output.

2) 

Follow up MCU+ SDK 10.0 to configure EXT OTP under SD card mode, below link is for OSPI Flash in TI SK EVM, but we build it in same way, just change the boot method from OSPI Flash to SD card mode, and there is no log output to show the write successfully in TI SK EVM. As SD card boot method is the only way to boot in customer board so we reproduce the issue in TI EVM firstly,  Could you try it in your side?

The EXT_OTP example is by default configured to use WKUP_UART for UART logging. So, you would have to connect to the WKUP_UART port to see the UART logs from this example.

We connected with WKUP_UART . The example can not output log both in the OSPI BOOT way and SD card way.

MCU+ SDK 10.0, SK EVM: SK_AM62EVM_B

This is HSFS device.

Can you clarify which image you are copying as tiboot3.bin in the SD card for booting? If you could share the image then I can verify if it can be run on HSFS device.

While one of these are you trying to boot but not working?

Okay. Can you share both these image? I will once verify if they can actually boot on HSFS devices.

tiboot3.bin  is for sdk 9.0  tiboot3_sdk10.bin is fo sdk 10

I am suspecting something wrong in the steps followed to create the bootable SD card. Can you please clarify the steps followed for preparing the SD card for booting using the SD card bootmode?

Can you please clarify this?

  the bootable sd card can start the tiboot3.bin  of  ti-processor-sdk-linux-am62xx-evm-09.00.00.03 。  the  keywriter  tiboot3.bin also can start  through the bootable  sd card

the tiboot3_sdk10.bin  can not start on the  AM62x SKEVM( am6254 is hsfs)  ，the  SD card have no problem  。 can you boot the tiboot3_sdk10.bin  on your  hsfs am6254

I cannot try the `tiboot3_sdk10.bin` because if it boots it will write the USB/PCIe IDs & a row which is irreversible.

Instead, I modified the example to only keep the reading part & generated the following `tiboot3.bin` which boots for me in the SD card boot. You may try the attached `tiboot3.bin` once & see if it boots.
