Hello,

According to the device datasheet, the signal direction for both I2C_SCL and I2C_SDA isI/O.

My question is, how should I configure the direction in SysConfig tool, as Output or Input?

Hi Miguel,

Please ensure the Rx option is checked for the I2C signals. This will enable the input buffer.

The SYSCONFIG tool does not adjust the output buffer— it should be enabled by default. This can be verified by checking bit 21 in the PADCONFIG register is 0b0.

I have checked the RX option for the SDA signal; however, as the microcontroller is going to work as master I didn't checked this option for the SCL signal, is that a correct configuration?

Miguel,

The SCL line will still require the input buffer enabled because the I2C clock is looped back at the pad.
