Dear Sir,

We learn from internal slide and claim AM64x can support Linux HSR and PRP via ICSSG (not CPSW).

Customer would like to evaluate the performance and throughput for HSR RED box application.

Do we have a demo image customer can run Linux SDK and PRU-ICSS plays as a HSR switch? Which SDK should customer use for such application?

How to link CPSW packets to HSR packets? Via Cortex A running Linux?

Is it possible to take TMDS64 EVM to run Linux on Cortex A and transfer CPSW packet to HSR network on PRU-ICSS?

Hello Rich,

To clarify, AM64x can support Linux HSR and PRP on either Ethernet types (ICSSG and CPSW supported), the base support is not Ethernet type dependent.

However, if the customer has specific real-time requirements, using ICSSG will be a better solution as it also features HSR switching offloaded to the PRU_ICSSG.

If the customer has real-time requirements, they should use the RT-Linux SDK.
