AM69A: Deep Learning Accelerator Load Test for Thermal Profiling

Part Number: AM69A

Tool/software:

Hello TI Experts,

Based on your suggestion from the related I tried to run the EdgeAI demo. The problem there is that it crashes after a few minutes. This makes the demo unsuitable for our measurement of the heatsink temperature since we want to have the load consistent for at least 60 minutes.

Related to the last answer in the previous forum thread, I can also see the same files in the vision_apps folder. We are also able to run the vx_app_load_test.out (software-dl.ti.com/.../group_apps_utilities_app_thermal_load_cpu.html) which puts load on the C7x cores. This doesn't stress the AM69A as much as the demo does. There is also the vx_app_viss.out program (software-dl.ti.com/.../group_apps_utilities_app_thermal_load_viss.html) which puts load on the hardware accelerator. However, this doesn't work on our board since the app is missing the test_data folder.

Could you help us solve these problems so that we can simulate the load on the deep learning accelerators of AM69A?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Marvin
