Tool/software:
Hello TI,
We are using TI J784S4 EVM board and our custom board based on TDA4VH.
On both boards we have same behavior regarding the USB boot mode switches.
When we set primary boot mode to USB (boot mode pins/switches, Normal boot mode, non-mcu), dfu-utils on PC does not detect the devices.
Devices are detected once we set both primary and secondary boot mode to USB as well.
Can you clarify this to us? Are we missing something, or there is some issue present?
Best regards,
Milena
HI Milena,
can you dump the value of CTRLMMR_WKUP_DEVSTAT register .

Diwakar
Hello,
I have dumped register on custom board , it is not as expected:
It has value 24, meaning MCU_BOOTMODE3 pin is not as expected.
I can do same on the TI EVM, to confirm if it is HW switch issue or SW..
Best regards,
Milena
HI Milena
It has value 24, meaning MCU_BOOTMODE3 pin is not as expected.
It is a hardware issue if you not getting correct value in the DEVSTAT register.

Diwakar
Thanks, since it was same behavior on TI EVM board, we did not initially suspected HW.
