TDA4VL-Q1: There is an issue with configuring CAN bit time using the EB tool

Hi team，

Why is the data segment TQ of EB generated differently for the same configuration when I use the EB tool to configure MCU_CAN0/CAN1？

CAN0

CAN1

Their clock frequencies are the same.

Please help me take a look at this issue, thank you

Hello,

In above case you gave sync jump width =2 and now here it is sync jump width =1. so the sum of all timing parameters changed.

This includes SJW instead of expressing bit time, right?

Synchronization Jump Width (SJW) is the maximum number of time quanta (TQ) a CAN controller can adjust the bit timing to resynchronize with a received frame. It's typically set between 1 and 4 TQ.

In the TRM manual, the definition of CAN BIT TIME is as follows.

What I want to confirm is whether the configuration of EB is the same as the description here

Hello,

Now i understood what you are asking for ,Let me tell you .In the driver code we are not at all using TimingValues anywhere this holds

Sum of all timing parameters.

The TRM definition is correct. But in EB we are just adding all the parameters but it will not be used if you see in source code.
