TMDSCNCD263P: TI ROM bootloader is not copying SBL from OSPI flash to RAM on RESET

Hello Team,

We are working on our own SBL. It is working as expected and RBL also copying SBL from flash to ram on PowerOnReset.

But RBL is not copying SBL on Mcu_PerformReset(); from MCAL Mcu module.

It seems Mcu_PerformReset() is performing warm reset.

Could you please provide inputs to below

Q) How to fix reset issue, to solve my issue?

You need to make sure you are issuing a warm reset.

Are you using MCAL or SDK APIs?

Hi Anand,

We are using MCAL APIs.

MCAL API (Mcu_PerformReset()) is triggering Internal warm reset and observed RESET reason as below

Q) is the RESET reason is correct?

PROC159E2 version of EVM has an issue with OSPI reset TMDSCNCD263P: OSPI reset OSPI0_RESET_OUTn on AM263Px Sitara Control Card - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums

Seems the OSPI reset issue is fixed in EVM PROC159A.

Yes reset reason is correct. Seems like it is related to flash reset mechanism

Yes are you working on PROC e2? If yes then you need to use either a GPIO to reset the flash properly or switch to PROC A
