AM5729: IRQ for L3 interconnect

Hi Josue,

We are trying to enable App_err and Dbg_err as interrupts. But when we are calling "Intc_Init()" function to initialize the
interrupt, it is showing as it could not defined. but it is already inbuilted in "C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_17\packages\ti\csl\arch\a15\src".

we stuck at understanding  difference  ways of enabling interrupt HWI and INTC, (GPIO and other peripherals uses HWI for interrupt configuration).
whether we can use INTC for configuring interrupt?whether it cause any problem in HWI.
for enbling L3_APP_err , L3_DBG_ERR , which one we need to use HWI or INTC which is best, provide a sample code for configuration this 2 interrupts to Default MPU interrupts

We tried for "Intc_Init() " configuration 

while we are trying to use INTC we are facing problem at Intc_Init(). error:- undefined reference to `CSL_A15_INIT_copyVectorTable'
when to call this Intc_Init() function and impact on Hwi.
Whether INTC can be used for SYSBIOS?

For HWI configuration, 

when  mapping  "MPU_IRQ_9 (ID41) to L3_MAIN_IRQ_DBG_ERR" & " MPU_IRQ_10 (ID42)  to L3_MAIN_IRQ_APP_ERR". what are the parameters need to pass in "line1EventId, line1IntNum"

INTC is only referring to the the Interrupt controller. If you read the guide, depending on the priority you want for the interrupt, then you choose the method; i.e. Hwi has the highest priority which I am assuming is what you want.

We are Configuring the interrupt as below mentioned image. Whether can we give line1EventID as default? and incVecNum = 42(MPU_IRQ_10 (ID42)).

From the example above it seems like you would use the 42 as the ID.

Yes Jouse, we would like to use the 42 as ID.(which is MPU_IRQ_10 (ID42) mapped to L3_MAIN_IRQ_APP_ERR).

Can you please confirm whether the configuration of interrupt, what we did is correct or not?

Hi Maheswar,

Hwi_create() helps to setting up interrupts within an RTOS (SYS/BIOS) system. and Intc_IntRegister() is a lower level function used in baremetal systems where there's no RTOS. Since you are using TI-RTOS (SYS/BIOS) on the AM5729, could you use Hwi_create() to handle interrupts.

It seems the interrupt configuration is correct. Also, please refer to the following document for IRQ configuration details on enabling the interrupt.

Thanks for confirming,

But when error triggers, it seems interrupt is not generated. we given counts for interrupt and printing. but it was print 0, when error is occured. Can you please look into the below code in a screenshot and help me.

Sorry for late response.

Looks like the error handler registered with the interrupts are not getting triggered. Were you able to confirm if the IRQ (Top level interrupt handler) is getting triggered when the error occurs?

Hi Maheswar,

Can you please check if the program is hitting the IRQ 'ti_sysbios_family_arm_gic_Hwi_dispatchIRQ' when the error occurs?. This is a sysbios function and code is not mapped directly. You can search for this function in CCS disassembly window and put break point at the beginning of the function before the error is triggered. Let me know if you need more details on how to do this.
