Yes, customer have BERT and would like to do RX compliance test. They have completed TX compliance test already.

Do you mean if pair 0 was been doing test program and disconnect and connect BERT to continue BERT test? 

If that's the case, then the test program in pair0 need to be RX to TX (it requires internal loopback). 

How can we set to RX mode in Linux? 

Does this test procedure is what we used in factory with CCS firmware?

To quote the response I got from our hardware team:

The BERT should also be able to send a pattern that will automatically put our PHY into loopback from a functional mode. Directions on how to do this should come from the BERT vendor.

So, could you recommend customer to check with the BERT vendor or manual?

In the case, do you mean running Linux with PCIe in RC mode and connect to BERT directly without any software setting?

Could we get a instruction or guideline which customer can run in lab? 

What's the BERT model we use and how can we test it under Linux? Or we can use firmware from SD card (no matter Linux or RTOS) to enable this test?

Bert model in customer side is Keysight M8040A. 

According to test engineer, M8040A can have DUT enter internal loopback mode. 

In this case, does this mean connect M8040A then power on system to run Linux then it can enter compliance test mode automatically like we do TX test mode? Is there any software requirement from DUT side?

Hi Rich,

We have not tried this on TI-end. However, this should work similar to TX test.
