TDA4AEN-Q1: Question About IMX728 Driver Update in SDK 11.00.00.06 ‑ SP1VS_EXPOSURE_TIME Handling

Part Number: TDA4AEN-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi TI Support Team,

After upgrading to Processor SDK RTOS J722S EVM 11.00.00.06 (ti‑processor-sdk‑rtos‑j722s‑evm‑11_00_00_06.tar.gz), I noticed the following commit in the imaging repository:

https://git.ti.com/cgit/processor-sdk/imaging/commit/sensor_drv/src/imx728?h=main&id=5a31be9e06b65b89e898dabce418cb65d466080d

This change removes the configuration of SP1VS_EXPOSURE_TIME from the IMX728 sensor driver’s exposure‑control sequence.

Could you clarify the rationale for no longer setting SP1VS_EXPOSURE_TIME directly?

  • Is the exposure time now derived elsewhere in the pipeline (e.g., handled automatically by the ISP or firmware)?

  • Are there additional registers or controls we should adjust to achieve the same behavior as in previous SDK versions?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
YL
