AM62A7-Q1: Audio expansions options

Part Number: AM62A7-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AUDIO-AM62D-EVM, TAS6754-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi

I saw the AUDIO-AM62D-EVM has 2 Audio expansions. is there a specific daughter board that is recommend if I want to stream a high number (around 20) of IOs Audio channels ?

Thanks,

Alon

  • Hi Alon,

I was out of office for the last few days and back now. Currently looking into this internally. Please allow me a day or two to respond back.

Can you in the meantime, elaborate more on your use-case with AM62D?

    Best Regards,

    Suren

  • Here is the TAS67CD-AEC Evaluation board | TI.com board that connects to the AM62D Audio EVM.  The Audio Expansion Connector (AEC) enables up to eight channels of 50W amplified digital audio output using two TAS6754-Q1 devices.

  • Thanks Rahul and Suren

I'm Implementing MIMO ANC SW. It Requires Large Number of Inputs (20>) and a large number of Speakers.

For the Speakers, the  TAS67CD (x2) will do the work. But how can I Sample a large number of Inputs ?

BTW, I submitted a request for the FreeRTOS SDK, maybe 2 weeks ago. to whom can I write, to ask about the status of request ?

    Thanks again for your support,

    Alon

  • Alon,

The AM62D EVM supports 8 analog inputs via 2x, 4-channel ADCs on the PCB. For additional digital input streams, an external source will need to be provided on one of the McASPs that are brought out to an AEC. How are you planning on transmitting the inputs to the AM62D? Are these inputs digital or analog?

BTW, I submitted a request for the FreeRTOS SDK, maybe 2 weeks ago. to whom can I write, to ask about the status of request ?

Have you been able to download the SDK?

    Regards,

    Erik
