AM625: Connecting PMIC to MCU_PORZ

Part Number: AM625

Tool/software:

I've been looking at some reference schematics (PROC142A), that connects the PMIC_PGOOD output of a TPS6521904RHBR  through some logic gates, then finally to the MCU_PORZ input pin.
I understand that the MCU_PORZ is in reset when it's low, and I see there's also a small pull down resistor (4.7k) to ground.

I want to replicate this design without the logic gates, and have the MCU reset with the PMIC.

Can I simply connect the PMIC directly (which is pulled up to 3V3 through a 10k) or should I make some other concessions? (retain the pull down on MCU_PORZ?)
