AM62P: unused pin connection: Display Subsystem

Tool/software:

on our processor board, we are using DSI to connect a display.

We do not use the OLDI_ and VOUT0_ Interfaces. Can we simple leave the balls unconnected/the pins open?

Hi Michael,

As per the datasheet, if OLDI0 is not used, balls are to be left unconnected. Since all VOUT0 pins are of non-open drain output type, DPI balls can also be left unconnected.

For the OLDI0 signal, please refer to the Pin connectivity section of the data sheet:

e2e.ti.com/.../am623-vdda_1p8_oldi0-when-oldi0-is-unused

At a minimum can the requirement for filtering the power supply be removed so that the pin can be tied directly to an existing supply?

Don't see this as a concern. It is recommended to place a 0.1 uF decap near to the OLDI supply pin.

Hi Michael,

The VOUT0 signals are LVCMOS buffer type.

You could leave them unconnected (no trace connected to pad)

In case traces are connected to the processor pads, an external pull is recommended.
