AM62L: OSPI NOR Flash Compatibility

I am working on EVM -> XAM62L32AOGHAANB.
I am planning to connect an OSPI NOR flash (S27KS0643GABHB020) with my board.

I would like to confirm whether it is possible to connect this device and boot from it using the given flash part number.

I came across this E2E forum discussion, which mentions that booting is not supported in OSPI boot mode for AM62L EVK (TMDS62LEVM).

Please confirm if the same limitation applies in my case.

I understand your concern about xSPI and OSPI bootmode.
I want to flash the OSPI NOR flash as mentioned above part number. And after flashing, I want to boot from it.

Can you please describe more in details about this because here you give details of am243x board.
I do not know what I need to check it that which supports to my board.

Hi Parv, mentioned part is PSRAM but you are asking for a NOR FLASH. Could you please help us to clarify?

For your reference, we have an example, as pointed out above in github beyond SDK, for AM243x EVM (a modified EVM) in which we have an OSPI Flash and an OSPI PSRAM connected to AM243x via a High-speed-switch. In this case we boot from Flash and then we switch to PSRAM to use it as RAM memory

I believe your use case is different. Could you please clarify how you plan to connect to OSPI and what type(s) of memory you intend to use for booting and during execution?

Thanks for clarifying this.

As you mentioned our selected part is PSRAM, then we are exploring other OSPI NOR flash now.
We wanted to use OSPI NOR flash as memory to store bootloader files and boot from it.

So can you please suggest us some OSPI NOR flash part numbers.

Here I explore some other:

2> MX78U64A00FXDJ02
