J721EXCPXEVM: How to Connect I2C

Hi Experts,

I’m using the J721EXCPXEVM + J721EXSOMXEVM combination.
I’m trying to connect a Des-Ser-Camera by configuring CSI2, I2C, and power to connector J52 on the Jacinto7 board.
Even after powering the board, I2C detect does not work.
Is there any additional configuration I need to set?

Address of Des is 0x29(in 7bit format)

Can you send a photo of your setup? Additionally, are you adding any device-tree overlays to the uEnv.txt?

Hello Jared. I've created files at Sysconfig Tool. But I don't know where I have to copy or add those scripts.

I think J52(CSI) is connected to I2C-6 Bus. So I added I2C6 bus and CSI0.

I2C6 is already within the default device tree (k3-j721e-common-proc-board.dts).

Now i'm using pre-built sdk. And there are only 2 dtbo files in uEnv.txt

name_overlays=ti/k3-j721e-evm-ethfw.dtbo ti/k3-j721e-vision-apps.dtbo

Am I have to add k3-j721e-common-proc-board at uEnc.txt??

Hi Yeonghyeok Shin,

k3-j721e-vision-apps.dtbo disables the main_i2c6:

&main_i2c6 {
    status = "disabled";
};

Remove the device tree overlay if you want it enabled.

If you're using the RTOS SDK, then I2C 6 is controlled by an R5F core, leave the device tree in this case. If you are using the Linux SDK, remove it.
