AM67A: System load insights

We are currently conducting performance tests involving image processing on an AM67A board that includes different system components, such as the GPU and e5010.

Currently, it is difficult for us to determine the limiting factor because, besides the CPU load, we cannot see how high the load on the different system parts really is.

Therefore, we have the following question: Is there a tool or mechanism that can provide insight into the load on system parts such as the GPU, e5010, VPU, etc.?

Hello,

There are two options for gathering GPU metrics depending on how detailed of performance data you need.

1. Run "cat /sys/kernel/debug/pvr/status" to print GPU utilization from the GPU's built-in tooling

2. PVRTune: https://developer.imaginationtech.com/solutions/pvrtune/ Follow this instructions on this link to run PVRTune. This will give more detailed metrics on DDR performance, GPU bandwidth, Memory utilization, etc.
