Does the AM62 include an internal RTC accessible from the A53 Core Linux, or is an external RTC required for Linux operation?

Hi Gopal,

Yes AM62x devices have an internal RTC, which is defined as wkup_rtc0 in Linux devicetree k3-am62-wakeup.dtsi.

Thanks for the support.

Please share details about the RTC and how it is used in Linux. Is an external battery required to retain the time after power-off? We are currently using the SK-AM62-LP kit for development, and we cannot find any battery, power source, or circuitry for the RTC. Our application needs an accurate timestamp for saving data.

Please help us understand the proper operation.
