Part Number: J784S4XEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VH
Hello,
we are trying to use the C7x DSP of the TDA4VH for accelerating algorithms.
The current plan is to have an application running on the A72 with Linux, while some parts of the application's algorithm are offloaded to the C7x as a custom firmware (RTOS) that inlcudes multiple functions. The DSP functions should be triggered via a RPMessage call, that includes the function, and the memory adresses of the input data and the output. Since the input data may exceed the size of a RPMessage, we'd like to use a shared memory region that both cores can access. While researching I found out that DMA Buffers might a suitable solution.
Unfortunately I'm having issues with allocating and using such buffers.
Therefore, I have following questions:
- How can I allocate shared memory?
- How can I access the shared memory from the DSP side?
- Are there any other/better approaches for our needs?
We're using the latest Linux SDK Version 11.00.00.08 and RTOS SDK Version 11.01.01.01.
Thanks for your help
Kind regards
Peter Fischer
