AM5746: Package Discontinued and Redesigned

Guru 10305 points

Part Number: AM5746

Hi Support Team,

We have received the following inquiry from a customer regarding the change from AM574x..xABZx.. to AM574x..xAQFx.., as announced in the document below.
www.ti.com/.../slaz774b.pdf

Q1. Is there any documentation available regarding the recommended land patterns? Although the difference in size is almost negligible, we would like to confirm this just to be sure.

Q2. When will samples of the changed product be available?

Best Regards,
Kanae

  • Hi Kanae,

    1. The landing pattern is unchanged between original and new package.  Only the height is changed (taller)

    2. A PCN will be issued at the end of September 2026.  Orders on the old package will be available for an additional 6 months (life-time buy); after that orders will need to be placed for hte new package.

    Regards,

    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,

    Thank you for your reply.

Regarding A1, is it correct to understand that, since there is no need to take into account
any minor changes other than height, there is no recommended land pattern
(i.e., there is no need to change from the current one)?

Regarding A2, is it correct to understand that the new AM5746 package (AQF) will be available
starting in September? Please let me know when samples of the new package will be available.

    Best Regards,
    Kanae

  • Hi Kyle,

    Thank you for your support.
Could you please let me know the status of this response?
Please let me know at least when the samples will be provided.

    Best Regards,
    Kanae

  • Hi Kanae,

A1.  Correct, there is no land pattern change.

A2.  Orders can be placed in October and samples will be available in small quantities at that time.

    Regards,

    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,
