AM6422: Import .dtsi file into DDR syconfig?

Part Number: AM6422
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hello,

Is it possible to import.dtsi file generated from sysconfig again into that tool to apply some changes? Or is there any other way to parse .dtsi file to get some useful information?

Regards,

Jakub

  • Hello Jakub,

There is currently no way to import generated source code files(that is dtsi, header files, C files, etc) back into the tool. The only project / design file you could import is the actual project .syscfg file.

Where is the dtsi file generated from? Is it from custom design board configured in the tool or is it generated from the evaluation board design?

If the former, you are going to have to ask around if the user that generated the dtsi file has saved their design so that you could reload it back in.

If the latter, I may be able to help and provide you the AM64 board .syscfg file that you could load in the tool and regenerate the dtsi file on your own.

    Thanks,

    Alex

  • Hello Alex,

Thanks for reply. Maybe you can help me. In our design we are using MT40A512M16LY-062E AIT:E memory. Does it mean we can follow TMDS64GPEVM reference design and change only Density parameter? Rest of the settings may stay the same?

    Regards,

    Jakub

  • That's another DDR specific question not really related to your original one. So, let me bring in the DDR experts to comment on that one. They will reply here soon. Thank you

  • Hello Jakub,

To follow up on your question, our DDR expert is out of office this week, expect some delay here with answering your second question.

    thanks,

    Alex
