One more clarification I need is that if we use the Android SDK mediplayer and mediarecord objects for encode/decode video development will it internally use the hardware DSP's for encode/decode ?

If you are using Android SDK and have connected a HW device to your computer and debugging using it or using adb push application.apk to the device and running it from the device, yes, previously shared link by default is using HW codecs for video encoders and video decoders from Ducati.

Used codec is selected in next file

this file contains next 2 arrays, AFS is going to select the first in the list if it is not present then select the next one in the list for the supported format.

To complement the answer, the other possibility is that if Android SDK + Eclipse is using a Android Virtual Device (AVD) it is going to select  SW codecs.

Will the stagefright support HD abilities or do we need to use OpenMax IL directly to make the blaze board encode/decode at 1080p?

Or can we use GST-ducati or GST-OpenMax on the android platform of blaze board for HD encode/decode? Are there any build steps to build these for Android ? Please help.

I just checked in 4AI1.4P1 code and file system and using OMAPCamera application I am able to use 1920x1080 video capture, the same for Gallery Camera Application it selects 720p by default value but it allows to select 1080p video recording.

About GST-Ducati or GST-OpenMax, I don't know actual status for these projects. You could try posting a new post/question asking for information about GST-OpenMax or GST-Ducati projects to the forum.

In Android 4.0 NDK you can find OpenMax AL layer that is provided by Google to access codecs from native code.

I have integrated the sample app camera capture and encode code into my application.When I run the application getting the below errors. Please help me with this. Have I missed anything in the camera parameters . The sample app with same params works fine, but with my application giving the below errors.

I found a reference that SetParameter for port definitions needs to be called before this OMX_SetConfig, could you check/try this?
