OMAP3530 IBIS issue with Altium release 10

Hi,

Customer is trying to import the IBIS model of OMAP3530DCBB to Altium release 10 tools and it is giving him 16 errors and a lot of warnings. Error file is attached.
I have point customer to following thread on e2e:

Customer tried to find the .dml.txt and could not find it, also tried to disable the check also could not do that.

Could you please advise how to solve this? Is it possible to disable dml checker if it is available in Altium?

Hello Majda,

This appears to be an Altium problem. Apparently Altium only supports up to IBIS version 3.2 and the OMAP35x IBIS models are version 4.1. Here is a link where someone was talking about this.

you might want to give Altium a call to see if they have updated software.

Hi,

thanks for info. This is a very old forum question July/2010 – two years time. Altium has no updated software available. Could somebody please point customer where are the errors in the file so he can wave them out?

appreciate the feedback on the issue. I am now working to support the customer directly so will check back once we have looked further into the Altium software configuration to see where we go from here.
