question about tms320c6670 local reset pin's function

Hi all,

Recently, I'm working on tms320c6670. I wonder what's the function of local reset pin? If I pull this pin, what will happen on DSP?

Will the reset process execute immediately if I pull this pin? I didn't get enough information from the datasheet. So please help.

Nick,

Please refer to the device datasheet and do a search for "local reset" (no quotes). There is a section that describes local reset in particular, and several other references to how it is used.

If you have a question about something in the datasheet, please reference that so we can help to clarify it.

Hi RandyP,

If Local Reset is deasserted ,is the corex in the idle state ?Or ,does it excute programmer from _c_init point?Looking forward to your reply .

Please search this forum for "local reset" (with the quotes). This has been addressed in some of the other threads, and I am not sure which one will best answer your specific concerns.
