xdc tools

I am creating a project using ccsv5 and it generates an error saying xdc tools is not installed. I know i have downloaded the correct xdc tool and installed but still i am getting the same error always.I reinstalled ccsv5 to overcome this but getting the same error. Even in Code composer studio installation details it show it is installed.

I had attached the screenshot of it.

If any one had the same problem please let me know how you fixed it.

I am using CCSV5 Version: 5.1.0.09000

Hi Gajanan,

The screenshot was not attached. Can you post it again?

One thing, do you see it in the RTSC tab? Are you trying to use the same version that is installed? If you imported a project it may be using an older version than the one you have installed.

Hi Jahannes,

In RTSC tab, XDCTools version is blank. It is not showing any version.

In the headline its shows "No XDC tools are currently installed. P...efore creating a project of this type."

I had imported a project & even i had installed XDC version 3.22.4.46 .

In CCS Installation details it shows as installed.

I am not able to upload the screenshot of it. Do you know any way to upload screen shot.

Hi Gajanan,

You can upload an image using the Insert Image

icon when you post.

Hi Jahannes,

I had uploaded the screen shots.

1). As you suggested to add the XDC Tools manually which I tried. Even after doing the procedure mentioned by you, it’s not working.

As you see in the screen shot 1, In Preferences- RTSC, XDCtools version is not available. Same issue in the project properties.

2). In the screen shot 2, the XDC Tools version 3.22.4.46 is showing installed in the Installation Details. But it’s not visible in the RTSC project.

Hi,

The unique thing that comes to mind is to check if the System Variables are set, go to:

Project Properties -> Build -> Build Variables Tab and check the "Show system variables" box and look if XDC_CG_ROOT and XDCROOT are set (I'm not sure if you need both of them).

The value should be something like: C:/ti/xdctools_3_22_04_46, this is the default version of CCS 5.1.0.0900. (I have two versions installed, that's why the variables have differente values. I don't know if this is OK but it's working)

Gajanan,
can you post a screenshot of the window Windows->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->RTSC->Products? What happens when you try adding an XDCtools version using the Add button?

I had already did what you explained to do. Screen shot is attached. Even after that the issue remains same.

When I will press Add, after that select product/repository from file -system. Nothing will change after doing this.

I think i need to uninstall & do again clean install. Is there any way other than this ??

Hi,

Sorry, I think I can't help you anymore. A clean install may solve the problem, but I don't know if it will.

Maybe someone can give you further help.
