How to configure SN75LVDS83B transmitter in Linux?

Hi there,

here I have a custom board with an TI AM3359. The display is an seven inch LG LB070WV8 (datasheet attached) which is connected to the AM3359 with a TI SN75LVDS83B.

Currently I'm at "Adding_LCD_and_Touchscreen_Support" at the Sitara Linux Training wiki page. As i understand, the display on the TI evaluation module is directly connected with the AM335x, without such a transmitter. So which changes are necessary to get my setup here running? Is there any additional documentation to be found on the TI page?

Please close this thread, I learned that the TI SN75LVDS83B is completely transparent for me, it doesn't need any treatment from the Linux kernel.

Hi,

Am also using SN75lvds83B. So you are saying, we need to make kernel changes for LCD only?

if possible, can you pls explain , what and all changes you have done?

Hi,

I'm planning to use SN75LVDS83B and AM335x on our custom board.
I have a question about the connection between SN75LVDS83B and AM335x LCD I/F.
Can SN75LVDS83B be connected to AM335x LCD I/F directly?
