On our prototype, we read VCNTL at full scale 63 (1.103V) in address 0x02350014 bits(21:16).
QUESTION 1: Is this a factory programmed VCNTL constant?
QUESTION 2: Is 63 a reasonable VCNTL value?
I ask because sprabi2b (page 77, note following Table 17) : Not all ranges or voltage levels are supported and should not be used, altered, or modified unless required per the respective data sheet or application notes. The intended range of operation is between 31 and 50 (0.905 V – 1.020 V), operation outside this range may impact device reliability or performance.
On the other hand, there's a thread for C6657 that indicates full-scale is OK.
