Hi all,

I am working on accesses fpga via emif interface on Linux code. I couldn't find complete solution on this topic in this forum. I note that it has been for a long time topic. Sometime on and off ny many users, but I wonder if there is complete solution there. I would like to have some kind of step by step instructions on how to do it. I believe that will help many developers.

Hi Joe,

Actually, We don't have FPGA on TI EVM boards so we don't have document or TI wiki for your requirement.

Though we have customers that they have tried FPGA interface with OMAPL138 and also with other TI processors, please refer the below TI E2E thread.

Do you know why Dan set FPGA Address is 0x6600-0000? Is it arbitrary assigned or something else?

Hi Joe,

Please refer the OMAPL138 data sheet for memory mapping table.(p.g no : 27 and table 3.4)

0x6600_0000 is base address of EMIFA (CS5).

I hope, Dan had been connected FPGA through EMIFA interface via CS5 address space.

I need to update my datasheet from SPRS586D–JUNE 2009–REVISED OCTOBER 2011 to SPRS586H –JUNE 2009–REVISED MARCH 2014. The newer version contains this information.
