Hi,
a C66x implementation of JPEG encoder is here
http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/codecs/C6678/JPEG_E/latest/index_FDS.html
Is there a lossless version of a JPEG encoder available?
Thanks,

Hi Gunter, from our codec experts I got below answer:
"Yes, we could set our JPEG to lossless, by setting "Qp" value to 100 in the "Testparams.cfg" at the encoder.
Please refer to section 4.2.1.6 in the "JPEG_BL_Encoder_C6678_UserGuide.pdf" for the explanation about this parameter."

thank you,
Paula
Hi Paula,
Thanks for the feedback. I had a couple of questions.
[] Is it true that the "lossless" mode is fully controlled by the JPEG encoder, i.e. setting QP=100 will cause the encoder to encode in lossless mode. The JPEG decoder should just take the encoded stream and decode it, ignorant to the QP essentially.
[] How much is the JPEG decoder actually optimized for the C66x core (vs C64+ core)
Thanks,
