Some problem with TVP5158 Driver

Please help me ensure that i understand your question correctly.

Do you mean you want to connect 8 analog video inputs coming to DM6467 at D1 resolution, such that each video port on DM6467 can get 4 D1 channels?

If yes, then surely it is possible and is shown in the TVP5158 datasheet also. Have you already referred to the TVP5158 datasheet? It is available at following location. Please check that the usecases listed in section 3 are the ones you want to implement.

Now coming to the software part - what do you mean by

Have you used the MCVIP (Multi Channel Video Input Port) driver for DM6467 and TVP5158, provided by TI? It support 8 D1 capture from two TVP5158 connected to two different video input ports.

BTW, i am confused by following statement of yours. What do you mean by two TVP cascaded? In D1 resolution mode, you can take in only 4D1 input on each video port on DM6467.

Yes, TI provides the driver for multi channel capture (16CH CIF in your case) for DM6467 and TVP5158. You can refer to one such post as follows:
