AM5728: Clarification on PMIC

Hi,

I have used X5777BXGABC processor and O9039A387IZWSRQ1 (OTP variant of TPS659039)PMIC in one of our design.

I'm facing some issue on my board.So now I need to replace the processor.

Since X5777x series processor is not available.I have to go with AM5728x series processor on my board.

Any one please suggest me,Can I use AM5728BABCXEA processor with the same PMIC TPS659039 ?

Hi,

TPS659037 is the PMIC that should be used for AM572x designs. See section 8.1 from the AM572x Datasheet SR2.0 Rev. B.

Hi Biser,

Thanks for the reply,

In our existing design,SMPS3 is connected to SMPS123 and DDR voltage is generated separately from TPS51200 (3.3V to 1.35V and external switch control).

But AM572x recommends vdds_ddr1 to get from SMPS3 supply,which cant match our existing design.

Since I'm doing only rework activity on my board I cant do this changes.So how can i proceed further.

X5777 is not a Sitara device. This is a DRA75x device. Please ask on the correct forum: e2e.ti.com/.../1020

Dear customer, if you want to use AM57x family, you need to follow the directions from AM57x data sheet, as Biser has mentioned. If you have initially designed your board with X5777 and wants to migrate to AM57x, you still need to follow the direction from AM57x data sheet. Our Catalog Processor team, only supports the PMICs recommended in our Data sheets.
