Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVDS83,
We are using the AM3354 in Active Raster Mode in an OEM application. We are using signals D0..15, LCD_AC_BIAS_EN (as an enable) and PCLK. We are using the SN75LVDS83 Flatlink Tansmitter and NEC TFT Color LCD Module NL8060BC26-35C. The display interface signals are wired as per the examples in the NEC display datasheet.
Our OS is Linux 3.1.8. When booting, the LCD controller is initialized properly and all appears well. After many minutes of operation however, the raster will shift to the left by about 11 pixels with the left edge of the image wrapping around to the right edge of the display. Rebooting the system always corrects the problem which eventually re appears. We find that we can randomly cause the raster to shift (or not) by clearing and then setting the lcden bit in the RASTER_CTRL register from userspace. On many occasions, If we clear/set this bit multiple times (i.e. 7 - 10 cycles) we can get the raster to "jitter" erratically between it's shifted and normal positions.
So far, I have not yet ben able to identify any design related causes of this problem.
Our EAU is about 2k / year
