Linux/66AK2H12: question for edma

Tool/software: Linux

My soc is 66ak2h12,use as a pcie endpoint on my system.use pdk-3.3.0.4,Linux kernel version is 4.4.41.

I found K2G evm has edma driver and fdt setting. It look as K2HK in EDMA.

I add fdt in my file and i can init edma.

but I don't Know how to use EDMA for my PCIe data trans,i got not example!

who can help me?

Hi,

First of all see Section 2.9 DMA Support of PCIE User Guide (www.ti.com/.../sprugs6d.pdf). There are bandwidth implications of using an external DMA (located outside of PCIE subsystem), carefully go through 2.9.1 DMA Support in RC Mode & 2.9.2 DMA Support in EP Mode

As for example settings you should refer to Section 2.9.3 EDMA Transfer Examples of the PCIE User Guide for Keystone Devices.
There are no linux example source codes.

I read the sprugs6d.pdf and have now question!
at the example, i don't konw struct paramSetup_pcie, and there no code for
/* Setup EDMA Channel */
/* Enable the EDMA Channel */
/* Wait for a transmit completion */

We don't provide such code. This is a custom definition done by users.
