CCS/EVMK2H: SysBios on Arm A15 Processor

I have been trying to program on the Arm A15 processor of the EVMK2H using SYSBIOS and CCS.

All of the examples I have found thus far only work on the c66xx DSP and not actually on the ARM processor itself.

I want to start with a simple hello world on the arm processor then move onto a timer based interrupt. Can anyone provide any examples that work on the A15?

Hi,

You can build a simple hello world example using CCS. Then connect to one of the CORTEX A15 cores and load the already built file, then execute it. This is done only with CCS.

Additionally, when you create your custom project, you can set ARM CORTEX A15 as a target.

oh honey, I've tried and that does not work.

Following the examples outlined in the link below did not work as well. But that was on bare-metal, and not using SYSBIOS.

A hello world example is perfectly possible on the DSP (You know printf("Hello World") and bam, it works), but for reasons beyond me the code cannot run on the arm.

A friend of mine was able to make it run on the arm, but only after messing with linker files and a whole lot of stuff I don't understand (and by run I mean the code executes, but doesn't print out)

But now I am just concerned with making code run on the DSP and not on the ARM, as I will port that code over at a later date.

Are there any simple examples of timer interrupts using SYSBIOS?
