Linux/AM5728: Kernel start fails

Hi  ,

    We are try to bring up the linux on AM5728 custom board  with SDK 04.01.00.06.

I was struck with u-boot first and when i commented CONFIG_SPL_LOAD_FIT=y  in  am57xx_evm_defconfig file , it went further and started kernel but after this log lines.

 it's throw some error and stop.

 I attached the error log during the boot process.

Any one please help me to resolve this issue.

  • Hi Aslam,

    The first error which present in the Linux kernel boot log related to i2c communication with temperature sensor tmp102 does not cause the kernel crash. Try to remove tmp102 nodes from the dts file.
    I suspect the the crash is caused by periphery connected on mcasp3 (see "omap_hwmod: mcasp3: _wait_target_ready failed: -16" log message).
    I suggest you to check what periphery is connected on mcasp3. Then check its configuration and post it in the thread.
