    CCS?

    BIOS?

    What chip/platform are you using?

    hi David,

       I am using Code  composer studio (CCS) of  Version 4  and BIOS version  is 6.21.00.13

    and  Dsp Chip of   TMS320 C64x+ .

    Hussen,

    The best information about RTA in SYS/BIOS 6 is in the product's User Guide, which you can find in your installation's doc directory.  See chapter 7 of the document.

    There are a number of different parts to RTA in SYS/BIOS, including

    • the load module, which reports on how each thread in the system is using the CPU,
    • the real time analysis tool, which provides a way for small log messages to be stored in a buffer while the system is running to indicate what was running and when, and these messages can be examined later either while the program is still running, or after execution has been stopped ("stop-mode").

     

    Also, here is a block diagram that shows the overall architecture of the RTA tooling.  Note that on the target side, one or more buffers need to be set up in order to collect the data.  Since these buffers are finite in length, you'll need to think about how large they should be to collect the data that you want before the RTA data gets examined.  At this point, you sould focus on just examining the RTA data in stop mode, since the full support for transporting RTA data over physical streams such as serial or Ethernet has not been fully rolled out for SYS/BIOS 6.  Even in stop-mode, you can still use the RTA plug-in inside CCS to examine all the RTA data.
