RTOS/TMS320C6657: if we connect NAND flash,which size is bigger than 8GB, with C6657,how to design HW?

Dear,

if we connect NAND flash,which size is bigger than 8GB, with C6657 chip,how to design HW?

I browsed through the datasheet about memory map,if we use EMIF16 interface,the max memory size for NAND flash is 256MB (64MB*4, CS1~CS4),

So I do not know how to connect NAND FLASH with C6657 chip.

The speed of data transfer based on EMIF16 is decided by EMIF clock(sysclk1/6)?

That is , the data transfer speed for every data IO is equal to the clock of EMIF16,my understanding is right or not?

Hi,

EMIF is an asynchronous interface, so you shouldn't tie the data rate with the clock frequency. Have a look at this thread:
