In a related thread I queried combining TDA2x/TDA3x with an FPD3 deserialiser/serialiser/image sensor. I want to use the TDA to convert the image data to HDMI for display on a monitor. The purpose is allow me to modify the physical FPD3 cable and observe the effect on the displayed image data. I would like control the setup with the Vision SDK using the default menus rather than writing any dedicated software applications.
I was originally proposing to implement using TDA2x, 954 and 953 EVMs. Using the ALP I was able to configure the 953, 954 and OV10640 to pass RAW frames over the CSI-2 port to the TDA2x. However, as TDA2x does not have hardware support to convert RAW to YUV this was a non-starter.
I hoped using the TDA3x would overcome this problem. However, it was explained to me that the TDA3x, 954, 953 combination is not supported. The reply in that thread is repeated here.
As Brijesh mentioned, we don't support this combination of OV10640+UB953 -> UB954 + TDA2Ex. Having said that, we have tested and support
1. OV10640 + UB913 -> UB964 + TDA3x/TDA2Px
2. UB954 + TDA2Ex/TDA3x/TDA2Px is tested
3. IMX390 + UB953 -> UB960 + TDA2Px
In short you will have to add support to configure UB953 & UB954. Configuration for OV10640 is available and can be processed on TDA3x (TI AEWB)
I am not sure if this implies that these other combinations are supported directly from the Vision SDK?
Can you please confirm?
If not supported, can you please let me know if there is any combination of serialiser/deserialiser/sensor that is directly supported by the Vision SDK and TDA3x EVM?
