Linux/AM3352: Board fails to wakeup from Deepsleep0

Part Number: AM3352
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3358,

Tool/software: Linux

I'm trying to to put my board into low power mode by entering into deep sleep using rtcwake command. The command is executed in a loop with a user-defined count, something like the one below.

while(1)
{
rtcwake -m mem -s 10
}

I'm observing that the device fails to wakeup after the loop runs for sometime, say over 3000 cycles.

I'm using 4.9.69 kernel and I could find a known issue in the release notes which says

LCPD-7256 P3-Medium Board sometimes hangs after suspend/resume cycle Power & Thermal am335x-evm, am43xx-gpevm, am57xx-evm

Link to release notes :

Is there any fix available for this issue yet ? Or can I have more insight about the root cause for the same ?

I could find a very similar thread but which was not followed up ;

Any leads on this issue could be really helpful.

Thanks and Regards,

Jayadev
