I've recently downloaded and installed the latest PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-K2G on both a windows and a Linux host system with CCS v8.  After installation, both installer packages have created directories for mathlib_C66x_3_1_2_2 and dsplib_C66x_3_4_0_1 with nothing in them.  I believe some of the examples need these libraries to build.

  • Are you sure that the installer is not corrupted or the installation is completed on your machine. I have same version of the SDK on my machine and see the components and its directories so it is definitely not an issue.

    Also, you seem to to be mistaken about the version number for mathlib and dsplib in the SDK as well. Check the release notes:
    software-dl.ti.com/.../Release_Specific.html

    These are not the right version of the components so I am not sure what is going on with your host machine or your setup.

    We have been able to reproduce the issue and have also confirmed that the Release notes has the version listed incorrectly. We have contacted the development team and found that there was a last minute swap of the components due to which this issue occured. The version that I have on my machine was the release candidate which didn`t have the update so I didn`t initially see this issue.

    Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a new installer with this issue fixed due to the quarterly update cycle. The work around for DSPLIB and MATH users is to obtain the library as standalone install from the following ti.com links:
    software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
    software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

    We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to fix this issue in the 4Q2018 release
