Hi ,

I downloaded TDA3.ibs from the web to perform SI analysis of CSI input of TDA3.

Waveform of about 800 mVpp was observed with the differential waveform.

But, measured waveform was observed about 400mVpp.

I think TDA3 ibs model dosen't include the termination resistor of CSI input.

Is a termination circuit explicitly necessary?

Hi,

My understanding is that the CSI IBIS models are separate models for the -P and -N signals; thus, the differential resistor between the -P and -N inputs is not included in the model, and the resistance needs to be added externally.

Please tell me where to insert external resistor in SI analysis.
Or, Could you provide a ibis model included terminal resistance like related question(DS90UB953-Q1: IBIS model simulation circuit)?

Hi,

Per my understanding , the CSI input termination resistance should be located in the model as close as possible to the RX input buffers.

Hi,

B would more closely resemble the hardware since the termination resistance is a part of the IO buffer. Thus, we would recommend B if your simulation tool allows this model.
